This weekend, Villar City’s avenues will erupt in a symphony of revving engines and cheering crowds as the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup (TGR PH Cup) 2025 roars back onto city streets for the first time since 2018.

Done in partnership with Toyota Motor Philippines, Petron, GT Radial, Villar City itself, and premium developer Brittany, this high-octane spectacle will reshape the urban grid into a dynamic racetrack—an immersive celebration of speed, style, and forward-thinking design that perfectly mirrors the city’s own momentum.

Sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and supported by Seiko, Toyota Financial Services Philippines, Tuason Racing, AVT, 3M, Denso, ROTA, OMP, and Kinto One, the TGR PH Cup is a premier one-make series inspired by world-class street circuits like the Macau Grand Prix and steeped in the Filipino racing heritage of Dodjie Laurel.

This year’s Cup marks Villar City’s turn in a series that’s raced through Alabang, Cebu, McKinley Hill, and Pasay. But what sets this edition apart is how it taps directly into Villar City’s uniquely intuitive masterplan. Broad boulevards and sweeping straights meet tight, technical corners—designed not just for peak performance but to let culture, commerce, and community flow seamlessly around every turn.

The result? Wheel-to-wheel action that feels both organic and electrifying, propelling Villar City—and everyone in it—full throttle into the future.

Exciting sprints, displays and showcases

TGR PH Cup 2025 kicks off today with qualifying rounds and the first sprint race. On Sunday, two more exciting sprints will push drivers to the limit. These will be held alongside drag races, gymkhana exhibitions, and gleaming car-club showcases that are sure to turn Villar City’s streets into one automotive gallery.

But speed is only part of the story. As you roam the circuit, you can explore curated vehicle displays, hop into test-drive demos, challenge friends on state-of-the-art sim-racing rigs or enjoy the family-friendly attractions. Food stalls tempt with everything from local street-food favorites to exclusive GR merchandise.

After each day’s race, the city’s skyline becomes a concert stage: Rico Blanco and Parokya ni Edgar fire up the crowd on Saturday night, while Ely Buendia and Bamboo take over on Sunday.

And on top of all these, TGR PH Cup 2025 will have exclusive on-site offers—special event-only Toyota promos available for car buyers and enthusiasts.

Vibrant calendar

While the TGR PH Cup weekend promises high-speed thrills, it’s only one highlight in Villar City’s vibrant calendar. Long before race cars ever hit its streets, the city was already pulsing with community-driven experiences.

Earlier this year, nature enthusiasts gathered outside Forresta Café for “Birding and Breakfast,” a guided birdwatching session hosted with the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines. Fun runs and car-free Sundays have also since reclaimed Villar Avenue for pedestrians and cyclists, while dedicated bike trails weave through this megacity’s greenways.

Fun runs and car-free Sundays have also since reclaimed Villar Avenue.

Over the past two years, Villar City has launched promising developments—such as The Stadium at Villar City, an 18-hole championship golf course designed in partnership with Curley-Wagner Golf Design, and strategic collaborations like the University of the Philippines-Dasmariñas campus.

All these highlight the megacity’s exciting new chapter, one that is focused on deepening its role as a hub for sports, education, leisure and investment while accelerating its growth into a fully integrated, future-ready metropolis. Fun runs and car-free Sundays have also since reclaimed Villar Avenue.
